Sunday May 2, 2010 Me and Julia...

I felt a lift of pure happiness every time I looked out the window.  I had come to the conclusion that I must really be French, only no one had ever informed me of this fact. I loved the people, the food, the lay of the land, the civilized atmosphere, and the generous pace of life.  -Julia Child My Life in France.

That pretty much sums it up for me, Julia.

Today included The American Church in Paris for a wonderful 9 am service, a nutella and banana crepe, a train ride to and from Versailles, touring the Versailles palace, some window shopping, creme brulee, and a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower this evening.   We were up at the top during the dancing lights.

Too tired to blog.  Stay tuned.
And please say hi on the comments.  :)

Bon nuit mon Tour Eiffel.

  1. Bet you're tired, for sure! :) Do you have time, very often, for a *staying inside sort of day*?

You're smart to be in only one city. Too many folks travel abroad and go to too many places in too short a time.

Ah, Nutella...always a good idea. I like mine on toast with a cup of tea. :)

  2. Hey Sister,
Enjoying the blog - I feel like I get to look over your shoulder as you take in the sights... just can't smell the delicious food!

I should have blogged my trip to Washington DC but I am too much of an introvert.
Enjoying a few days on Mayne Island then back to work.
    enjoy, sleep, eat, enjoy
    love, Sally

  5. Your blog is bringing Paris all back to me...I so love that city. I'm thoroughly enjoying every moment I get caught up on your travels. This city is so life changing...it just creates a place in your heart and stays there. Can't wait to catch up when you return. Savor every single precious moment. :o)
